Summer Fun while Developing the Whole Child
Summer is more exciting at Rainbow Child Development Center. We provide a Summer Camp program for children ages 5 to 12 years old.
Camp Dates and Hours:
Camp runs for a duration of 8-10 weeks. Camp hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Before and after care are included for your convenience (6:30 – 8:00 AM, 4:00 – 6:00 PM).
*Spaces are limited and on a first come first serve basis. Must Adhere to the 10 hour Rule *
Activities
- Soccer
Goals! Goals! Goals! What are your goals this summer? If all you want to do is “run around” and “kick it” with friends and dribble the ball into the net, you are sure to enjoy this sport! - Basketball
Need help with your dribble or free throws? Get ready to break a sweat by learning how to pass, dribble, and shoot! You are sure to make a “slam dunk” into the rules of this sport. - Other sports activities include football, kickball, and field games.
- Academics
There, of course, must be some kind of enrichment to keep those wheels turning throughout the summer. Every day the children will have learning activities which will be review material based on the grade each child has completed in the school year. There will be S.T.E.M. projects, Cooking projects, Games, and Arts & Crafts.
Weekly Field Trips
Every week the children will go swimming, go to the movies, and go to the park.
Specialty Field Trips
Every Monday, the children will take a trip. A few of our trips have been the National Zoo, Bowling, Air & Space Museum, Port Discovery, and the Natural History Museum.
